"Marangu" refers to an area that has an excessive number of water streams. In Tanzania, this is among the most visited locations. In Kilimanjaro National Park, the Marangu Waterfalls are located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. The Marangu waterfalls, originate from the glaciers on top Mount Kilimanjaro, are a popular destination in Tanzania. The Ndoro Waterfall, also known as Marangu Waterfall, is a six to seven-hour hike through the Chagga people's lush green landscapes. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and take a break in the picturesque valley. The trip is easy and enjoyable, with a variety of animals present.
Day 1
Following breakfast, you will be picked up early in the morning and driven from Arusha/Moshi to Marangu village, where you will begin your walking tour and pay a visit to the local blacksmith. You will be able to witness and participate in Marangu village's traditional activities, which include learning about and experiencing local customs such as making coffee, lunch, and beer from bananas. You will climb down to the Marangu waterfall/Ndoro after a few hours, where you can go swimming.
