The 9-day Serengeti Migration: Serengeti, Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara Safari offers a unique adventure through Tanzania's stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife habitats. The safari runs from August to October, showcasing the Great Serengeti Migration, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the famous wildebeest migration.
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha and Transfer to Seronera
Your journey begins in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. After arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be transferred to your lodge in the heart of the Seronera Wildlife Reserve. The reserve is known for its abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas.
Day 2: Seronera Wildlife Safari
Spend the day exploring the Seronera Wildlife Reserve, where you will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo). Your experienced guide will take you on a thrilling game drive, pointing out the different species and sharing fascinating insights into their behavior and habitat.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Today, you will enter the Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in Africa. The park is home to over a million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, which migrate seasonally in search of food and water. You will spend the day exploring the park’s vast grasslands and woodlands, looking for the Big Five and other iconic species such as the Cheetah, Hyena, and Bat-Eared Fox.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After an early breakfast, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the world’s largest intact caldera. The area is teeming with wildlife, including the Big Five, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. You will spend the day exploring the conservation area, looking for the unique and endangered black rhino, as well as the elusive leopard and cheetah.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Today, you will explore the Ngorongoro Crater, which is home to over 25,000 large mammals, including the Big Five. Your guide will take you on a thrilling game drive down the crater’s steep slopes, pointing out the different species and sharing fascinating insights into their behavior and habitat.
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park
