Tour Itinerary
Experience the yearly Great Migration of millions of wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores in Tanzania's Serengeti park. With over 700 species and 500 bird species, the migration follows rainfall patterns. Herds traverse crocodile-infested rivers in May or June, arriving at Maasai Mara Reserve in July or August. Game drives are available in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park. Tented camps and lodges are available for lodging.
Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Central Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning, Arusha/Moshi departs for Central Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, after a long drive. There is a chance to see giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras while on the drive. Pink-headed lizards can be seen while having a picnic lunch on Naabai Kopje. After a leisurely wildlife drive, visitors spend the night in the Serengeti.
Day 2: Central Serengeti National Park to North Serengeti National Park
Get up from your lodging in the morning having breakfast, and then travel to the Serengeti Northern Circuit. Meet your driver guide upon arrival and embark on a full-day game drive to witness the huge migration in this area of the park. The African Leopard, African Elephant, Rhinoceros, Leopard, and Lion are the five most valuable trophies obtained by hunters. The park is also widely recognised for its diverse resident wildlife population.
Day 3: Full day in Serengeti National Park (Northern Circuit)
Take advantage of a full day of game viewing and game drive near the Mara River, where you may see the migratory river crossing. The massive herds at Kogatende guarantee fantastic game viewing from August to October. They cross the river every day, frequently going in various directions. There's no real movement because the herds usually cross the river back and forth following the rains bring with them new grasses.
Day 4: North Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
We will proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater in the afternoon following an exhilarating game drive filled with animal sightings and a picnic lunch. We will spend the night here, with a view of the Ngorongoro Crater's intact caldera. There is nothing quite like seeing the savannah at sunset. Guests may look forward to a delicious meal cooked by our friendly cook at your accommodations after a tiring day of exploring.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha/Moshi
You'll travel 600 meters to reach the Ngorongoro crater floor after breakfast for an exciting game drive. Known as Africa's Eden and the eighth wonder of the world, it is home to a wide range of wildlife, such as buffalo, zebra hippos, rhinos, elephants, and cats including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas. On this one-day wildlife drive around the Ngorongoro Crater, packed lunches will be provided on the crater floor for the Big Five. You will drive back to Arusha/Moshi later in the afternoon.
