Everest Base Camp Gokyo Lake Trek
The Everest Base Camp (EBC) Gokyo Lake Trek is a stunning combination of the classic Everest Base Camp trek with an additional adventure to the beautiful Gokyo Lakes, located in the Everest region of Nepal. This trek offers trekkers the opportunity to experience the iconic route to Everest Base Camp while also exploring the tranquil and picturesque Gokyo Valley, home to a series of turquoise glacial lakes.

Everest Base Camp: Reach the base camp of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Khumbu Icefall.
Kala Patthar: Ascend to Kala Patthar for a panoramic view of Everest and the surrounding peaks, offering one of the best vantage points in the region.
Gokyo Lakes: Visit the serene Gokyo Lakes, known for their stunning turquoise waters, and hike to Gokyo Ri for a 360-degree view of the Everest range, including four of the world's tallest peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.

Everest Base Camp Gokyo Lake Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,429ft)
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.
Prepare for the trek and explore the city.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla Flight and Trek to Phakding (2,800m/9,186ft)
Fly to Lukla (2,840m) and begin the trek to Phakding.
Trekking time: 3-4 hours.
Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,286ft)
Trek along the Dudh Koshi River and enter Sagarmatha National Park.
Climb to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region.
Trekking time: 5-6 hours.
Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Rest and acclimatize with a short hike to Everest View Hotel or explore the local markets and monasteries.
Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Dole (4,200m/13,780ft)
Climb steeply out of Namche and pass through forests to reach Dole.
Trekking time: 5-6 hours.
Day 6: Dole to Machhermo (4,470m/14,665ft)
Continue the ascent through rhododendron and juniper forests to Machhermo.
Trekking time: 4-5 hours.
Day 7: Machhermo to Gokyo (4,800m/15,748ft)
Trek to Gokyo, passing by the first, second, and third Gokyo Lakes.
Trekking time: 5-6 hours.
Day 8: Acclimatization Day in Gokyo - Hike to Gokyo Ri (5,357m/17,575ft)
Hike to Gokyo Ri for a spectacular view of Everest, Cho Oyu, and other peaks.
Return to Gokyo for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Gokyo to Thagnak (4,750m/15,580ft)
Cross the Ngozumpa Glacier and trek to Thagnak.
Trekking time: 4-5 hours.
Day 10: Thagnak to Dzongla (4,830m/15,850ft) via Cho La Pass (5,420m/17,782ft)
Cross the challenging Cho La Pass and descend to Dzongla.
Trekking time: 7-8 hours.
Day 11: Dzongla to Lobuche (4,940m/16,207ft)
A short trek to Lobuche, with views of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and other peaks.
Trekking time: 3-4 hours.
Day 12: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m/16,961ft) and Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,598ft)
Trek to Gorak Shep and continue to Everest Base Camp.
Return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.
Trekking time: 7-8 hours.
Day 13: Gorak Shep to Pheriche (4,288m/14,070ft) via Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft)
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Everest.
Descend to Pheriche.
Trekking time: 7-8 hours.
Day 14: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Retrace your steps back to Namche Bazaar.
Trekking time: 6-7 hours.
Day 15: Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Continue the descent to Lukla, enjoying the last views of the mountains.
Trekking time: 6-7 hours.
Day 16: Lukla to Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.
Enjoy a farewell dinner in the city.
Day 17: Departure from Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
