Although this trek was the only possible route in those days, you are now provided with the second alternative which lets you begin your trekking from Lukla after you land in the airstrip at Lukla. If you have enough time and if you enjoy your walk in less crowded area, we recommend you to join this trek which is also known as classical Everest Base Camp Trek. Walking from Jiri although drains out of energy, the peaceful route that stretches through lush valleys, less settlements, high passes, verdant woods and rivers will make this route worthy joining. The route also blesses you with opportunity to view High Himalayan Wildlife and follows through unspoiled vicinities.



Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek at ‘The Nepal Trekking Company’ is 21-days itinerary that begins with about eight hours’ drive to Jiri which is a small picturesque town that exists in Dolakha district. Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek follows the conventional route which was used in the earlier days by people who came for the Everest Expedition. It takes about eight days to reach Namche Bazaar from Jiri. You will leave the directt road and continue your journey through the narrow path to Shivalaya. You will trek advance further through Bhandar, Sete, Junbesi, Nunthala, Bupsa and Surkhe to Phakding. You will meet the trekking enthusiast arriving from Lukla in Phakding.
