Africa Venture Safaris, Famous Big 5, famous for its views of Mount Kilimanjaro and great scenic beauty whose entire landscape is dominated by Mt Kilimanjaro then to the Great Rift Valley Lake of Nakuru Classic safari, Big 5 present, famous for its flamingos From Nakuru we drive Maras Classic safari, Big 5 present (rhino rare), many big cats, wildebeest migration which is a home of abundance of wildlife. If we are lucky and its that time of the year we will witness the Wildebeest Migration.
Day 1: Nairobi/Amboseli
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to Amboseli National Park arriving Amboseli campsite well in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park, a park famous for its big game and great scenic beauty whose entire landscape is dominated by Mt Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the Kimana wildlive camp.
Day 2: Amboseli national park
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive at 6.30am, when you have the best chance to see the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to the camp for late breakfast. Afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at Amboseli kimana camp.
This park, Where dust devils swirl around the edges, but in the heart of the park is an amazing swamp where elephants and hippos are in abundance. A visit to the observation hill will follow where male zebras fight to get a mate. We will look out for the glistering majestic snowcap of Mt Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is justly famous both for it’s big game, elephants, which are the most studied in the world. For a few days, you will be living beside the most celebrated culture in the world- the maasai, lions, and cheetahs.
Day 3: Amboseli/ Lake Nakuru
Depart Amboseli in the morning and drive via Nairobi to the floor of the Rift Valley with hot or picnic lunch en route to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving for your afternoon game drive.
Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game. Dinner and overnight at golden palaceresort.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara
Depart after breakfast and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving Mara tented camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive that introduces to this vast game filled reserve. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
The Mara reserve covers 1510km² of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodlands, following the meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal as an iconic savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife. An optional hot-air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost.
Day 5: Masai Mara game reserve
Spend full day in Masai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). Full day game drives with the option of visiting a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight at Mara tented camp.
Wherever you go in the Mara Reserve you will see an abundance of wildlife, such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, and wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos. It is common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot, but are still reasonably common.
Day 6: Masai mara - Nairobi
After breakfast leave campsite for the last game drive in the park as you leave the Amboseli park for Nairobi with Picnic lunch served enroute arriving in Nairobi late afternoon with sweet memories.
After breakfast drive back to Nairobi arriving approx 14:00 hrs. Drop off at your hotel or transfer to the airport for your onward flight home. End of services.
