Overview
The endless plains of the Masai Mara National Park are the setting for one of the world’s greatest wildlife events, the wildebeest migration. The Masai Mara Migration Safari provides you the opportunity to experience this remarkable, unique event at the time of year when wildebeest are in transit from Tanzania into Kenya.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli National park
Absolute Holiday Safaris crew will arrange your pickup either from airport or Nairobi Hotel, meet the driver guide at our office and get the briefing about this trip. Drive to Amboseli National Park via the busy Nairobi – Mombasa highway, turning at Emali then proceed further to the national park. Check in for early lunch, then leave for afternoon and evening game drive till sunset. Return to the camp for dinner, followed by overnight.

Day 2: Amboseli game tracking
Our day starts with breakfast then leave for a full day of game drive in this park which contains swamp grounds that elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes, Zebra, wildebeest, Buffalos, dikdik, hyena, Cheetah, Leopard, Gazelle, Impala and birds species can also be seen. You might see Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak if weather conditions permit. You will have a picnic lunch at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro picnic site, continue with the game drive in search of more animals till 1700hrs, Time for optional activity either to relax at your camp or lodge, take a nature walk or visit the local community and interact with them.

Day 3: Amboseli - Namanga border - Arusha
Early morning game viewing before returning to the camp or lodge for a full breakfast. Later check out and proceed to Namanga border which is our crossing point to Tanzania. After immigration, catch the shuttle bus to Arusha, where you will meet our partner Safaris crew and be transferred to a Hotel booked on a bed and breakfast basis. You will arrange for dinner at your own expense either at the hotel or at a nearby restaurant.

Day 4: Arusha-Lake Manyara
Meet with Absolute Holiday Safari driver guide at Arusha Hotel for safari briefing then depart Arusha for Lake Manyara taking approximately 2 hrs 30 minutes or 3 Hours drive only. Arrive at Lake Manyara National park at the camp or lodge, check in and have early lunch. Afternoon game drives in this impressive park, widely known for the Tree Climbing Lions and Flocks of Flamingos. There are several animals which inhabit in this park, and it will be your day to trace them with your Guide. After Sunset, drive back to your accommodation for Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro Crater
Breakfast at your lodge, then leave Lake Manyara region for Ngorongoro Conservancy area, a distance of less than 3 hours drive. Arrive at the crater before 1000 am for 6 hours game drive at the crater as recommended by Ngorongoro Conservancy Authority which administers the crater. Descend into the crater, which is one of the seven wonders of the world and plays host to thousands of animals, including the last remaining black Rhinos of Tanzania. Picnic lunch will be taken on the crater floor. Drive to the main gate and drive to Karatu at one of the lodges/camps for Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Karatu - Arusha National Park
After breakfast, leave for Arusha National Park, at the foot of Mount Meru. At this park, you will get to visit mountain rainforests, Rich Savannah, Alpine moorlands and, indeed, all under the shadow of the majestic Mt. Meru. Arusha National Park is one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and varied parks. Home to the world’s largest population of giraffes, this versatile reserve presents numerous hiking and exploring possibilities.
Go on a canoe safari on one of the seven Momella lakes in the park, all a different shade of algae green or blue, offering opportunities to sail and explore. From your floating perch you can spot flamingos and further out on the shore, giraffe, zebra, dik-dik and warthog.
With its easy vibe, lush green hills and woodlands, the park lends itself to walking safaris. You’ll find great stretches of forest hosting blue and colobus monkeys. Drive to Arusha in the evening, where you will be dropped at one of the hotels to conclude your safari.
