Tour Itinerary
Day 01. Fly from Addis to Bahir Dar
Our Ethiopia Honeymoon tour will start with the beautiful city and lakeside town Bahirdar. Upon arrival in Bahir Dar airport , you will be welcomed by our guide and take you to the hotel, after that he will take you on a boat trip to Lake Tana to visit a selection of the monasteries hidden on the islands and shores of this sacred lake. Visit the Zege Peninsula and the monasteries of Azuwa Maryam and Ura Kidane Mehret.

Day 02. Bahirdar
After breakfast, drive 35kms south of Bahir Dar to see the Blue Nile Falls and a short hike in the area. Back for lunch and late in the afternoon drive to the bottom of Emperor Haile Silassie palace to see the sunset over the lake and finish the day with a beautiful view of the city and Lake Tana River.

Day 03. Bahir Dar to Gonder
After breakfast, continue north to Gonder. The four-hour drive will take you through rural villages, offering wonderful insight into the Amhara culture. After briefly settling in your hotel, explore the sites of Gonder, including a visit to the Royal Enclosure, with six castles and several other buildings. Additionally, visit Fasilidas’s Pool, still used for Timket celebrations today, Ras Gimb Palace Museum and the Debre Birhan Selassie church, with the most famous ceiling found in Ethiopia.

Day 04. Morning departure to Lalibela and visit the wonders of 11th century rock churches of King Lalibela. O/n Lalibela
Day 05. Flight to Axum and Sightseeing of attraction at Axum.
Today you will explore the ancient and religious city of Axum and its main attractions ;the giant obelisks , kings tombs , Inscriptions , palaces and the first church of Ethiopia St. Mary Zion church. Accommodation: Yared International hotel
Day 06. Aksum –Gheralta
After breakfast, drive to visit the ruins of Yeha, dating from the 8th to 5th centuries BC, and thought to be the capital of Ethiopian civilization before Axum. Afterwards, visit the Debre Damo monastery, where the men (sorry! No women allowed.) must climb up a 15-m rope to enter. Proceed through the state of Tigray, stopping en-route for a visit to the rock-hewn church of Medhane Alem Adi Kesho. O/n Hawzien
Day 07. Visit Gheralta churches
In the morning, visit the beautiful church of Abune Yemata Guh . It takes around 30 minutes from the parking area. It's a hidden church but most incredible as well it has amazing paintings and clergy men, believes the paintings are from 6thc A.D. Stop for lunch in the lodge on the way back and continue in the afternoon to see the oldest church in the world , Holy saviour church /medhane alem Adi Adikoshu/. O/n Hawzien
Day 08. Gheralta – Mekelle
After breakfast , drive 12 km west of hawzien to see Mariam Korkor and Daniel Korkor they are located each other in the same mountain .Minimum takes an hour and 30 minutes to reach on top .On the way back visit Abreha and Atsbeha church, stop in wukro for lunch then drive to Mekelle . O/n Mekelle
Day 09. Mekelle – Addis Ababa – Langano
Fly from Mekelle to Addis Ababa and continue driving to Langano en route you will make a stop on Awash River and Lake Ziway to visit aquatic birds.
Continue your drive to Lake Langano (200Km from Addis Ababa, one of the Rift Valley Lakes and the only lake that you can swim in). Upon arrival, you will check into a resort by the lake side. In the evening you will have dinner at the lodge and stay the night there. Overnight -Sabana Beach Resort, Langano.
Day 10: Drive to Hawassa
In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Awassa (75 Km from Langano). You will be arriving in Awassa in the afternoon and checking into a hotel. Later, you can walk along the lake shore for a nice evening sunset and aquatic birds. You will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel. Overnight- Lewi Resort and Hotel, Awassa.
Day 11: Drive back to Addis Ababa
In the morning after breakfast, you will visit the scenic morning Fish Market in Awassa. Then you will drive back to Addis Ababa. On the way, you will also visit Abiata-Shala National Park, Lake Shala (a very deep crater lake – over 260 meters deep) and Lake Abiata (a soda lake with thousands of flamingos). You will stop for lunch at Ziway.
Day 12. Addis Ababa City Tour
Visit the National Museum, home of the 3 million year old skeleton “Lucy”, Trinity church, Ethnographic museum and Merkato –the biggest market in Africa.
Finally, you will be taken to a farewell dinner depending on your scheduled flight; you will be transferred out to Bole International Airport for the return flight back home .
