Tour Itinerary
Main sites: SLOVENIA - CROATIA – MONTENEGRO – BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA – SERBIA
DAY 1 ARRIVAL, LJUBLJANA
Our guide will meet you at the airport. Transfer to Slovenian capital Ljubljana for guided walking tour – we shall cross the Triple Bridge and visit the open market around the St. Nicolas Cathedral. Roba Fountain and the Dragon Bridge will be our short stops. Stroll among the beautiful baroque streets and discover all the beauties of Slovenian capital. Check in to hotel. Dinner will be served in hotel.
DAY 2 POSTOJNA CAVE
After breakfast, departure to Lake Bled, Slovenians most appreciated resort, surrounded by Julian Alps. We shall embark a wooden boat, called „Pletna“, to visit tiny Bled Island and Church of St. Mary. Afterwards continue to Postojna Cave. During the 6 km long route, you will see the stalactites and stalagmites. In the late afternoon transfer back to Ljubljana. Dinner will be served in hotel.
DAY 3 ZAGREB
After breakfast and check out transfer to Zagreb - capital of Croatia. A guided tour of the fort field Upper Town, the historical centre, will be enjoyable. The breath-taking multi-coloured roof of St. Mark´s church makes everyone admire it, as well as the Cathedral, National theatre and University. Drive around Lower Town, also known as „New Zagreb“built during the 19th and 20th Century. Dinner in local restaurant.
DAY 4 PLITVICE LAKES
After breakfast and check out, departure towards Plitvice Lakes National Park, magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site. The amazing scenery of this natural phenomenal marvel of sixteen terraced lakes, surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation, are joined in a series of waterfalls. Stroll among the waterfalls and lakes on the wooden promenade to enjoy the majestic and where every turn leads to even more beautiful scenery. In the evening transfer to Zadar. Tonight you will explore two of Zadar’s most popular attractions - the Sea Organ and Sun Salutation – two artistic installations, which utilise the power of nature to create beautiful sounds and sights for the citizens and visitors of Zadar. Dinner in local restaurant during the evening walking tour.
DAY 5 ZADAR
On the morning sightseeing tour in Zadar, the oldest Slavic city on the Adriatic and once formed cultural centre. The orientation tour of the Roman Forum ruins, Cathedral and St. Donat Church will be our goal. Continue to Split, second largest city in Croatia and the cultural centre of Dalmatia. Dinner will be served in hotel.
DAY 6 SPLIT
After breakfast start of the Split city tour, you will visit the Diocletian´s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built during the 4th century to observe the remnants of Split´s Roman Heritage and its magnificent Renaissance and Gothic structures, the Jupiter´s Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral. In the afternoon you will go to Trogir Town to stroll through the old streets. Stop briefly at the waterfront for a photo opportunity before sunning back to Split. Dinner will be served in hotel.
DAY 7 DUBROVNIK
Breakfast and drive to Peljasec peninsula towards the village of Ston, site with the second largest wall in the world, right after the Chinese Great Wall. Lunch, departure to Dubrovnik and city sightseeing: Pile Gate, Stradun (main street), Fountain Onofrio, Sponza Palace, Ploce Gate, Ivan Gundulic Square. Free time on Pjaca Market. Hotel check in, dinner will be served in hotel.
DAY 8 MONTENEGRO
Breakfast and drive to Montenegro, where we will visit the „Adriatic Bride“ beautiful Boka Bay. Panoramic drive along the coastline to Kotor, one of the oldest and most important cultural centres of East Adria. Visit the Old Town, Palaces and Ramparts. Visit the St. Tryphons Cathedral. Lunch and return to Dubrovnik. Free time until dinner.
DAY 9 HERZEGOVINA
After breakfast and checkout drive to region of Herzegovina, where we shall visit the UNESCO protected Old Town of Pocitelj. Admire the peculiar mixture of Oriental ans European architecture. Proceed the Blagaj, where we shall visit the world famous river spring and it´s marvellous Tekki. After lunch we will continue to Mostar, seat of Herzegovina, for a city tour. Visit Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, Turkish House, Spanish Square, Broken Bridge… Continue to capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Sarajevo. Hotel check in, dinner will be served in hotel.
DAY 10 SERBIAN MOUNTAINS
After breakfast and check out, process the tour of Sarajevo city. Stroll along magnificent Bas- Carsija to see artisans, Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, Old Market, Sarajevo cathedral… Continue to town of Visegrad, located at beautiful Drina river. Visit the Old Bridge. After lunch drive to Serbia. First stop will be the Mt. Mokra Gora, home of the world famous Kustenorf and Sargan 8 old rail. Take a tour through the canyons on the old rail and proceed to Mt. Zlatibor. Hotel check in, dinner will be served in hotel.
DAY 11 BELGRADE
After breakfast and check out depart to Central Serbia and the picturesque town of Topola. Visit to a magnificent complex dedicated to Serbian Royal family Karadjordje. Visit to Rebel Town, bastion during the liberation from the Ottoman reign. Visit the extraordinary church of St. George, mausoleum of Serbian Royal family. After lunch continue to Belgrade. Hotel check in and dinner.
DAY 12 BELGRADE
Our morning tour brings us to the imposing Kalemegdan Park and Belgrade Fortress, situated at the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers. Visit St. Sava´s Temple, third largest Orthodox Church in the world. Before continue to Republic Square, we will walk through the Knez Mihajlova Pedestrian Zone. In the evening we shall make a visit to the old bohemian quarter, where we will enjoy the diner and music.
DAY 13 TOUR ENDS
After breakfast and check out transfer to the airport. Tour ends
