Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Discovering two incredible stalagmite caves on a limestone mountain.
Lunch and dinner are included.
12:30 Welcome aboard. Checking in and setting sail through the mysterious bay whilst an exquisite lunch is served in the single-sitting restaurant or outdoor lounge in a relaxing ambiance.
Our cruise sails amongst natural rock formations of picturesque beauty; boasting views of the UNESCO World Heritage unique seascape of Halong Bay, offering a chance to admire a collection of sculpted islets with amazing shapes resembling: Lions, Tea Pots, Toads, Swans or Human heads.
Later on, disembarking to walk up the stalagmite cave of Sung Sot on a limestone mountain. At sunset, reveling in the tranquility of the natural landscape of Halong Bay, while our white glove waiters are serving a traditional afternoon tea.
Dropping anchor at a peaceful cove for a swim in jaded-colored waters with a towering islets background or walk up the seldom visited Grotto of Hang Trinh for a panoramic view of the bay from where you will be able to spot Santa Maria's brown sails.
There will be time to savor a famous cocktail aboard before the first of several beautiful bay sunsets. Dressing up for a fabulous dinner then sinking into one of our lounge sofas; a perfect moment for talking with friends and having a discussion on the next day’s exploration. Optionally, trying squid fishing with the Santa Maria crew.
Day 2: Kayaking through water tunnels to discover hidden lagoons and sea caves.
Breakfast and lunch are included.
At the break of dawn, setting sail for the seldom-visited southern area of Bai Tu Long Bay. Sea breeze, slapping waves... Enjoying a delightful moment savoring a sunrise breakfast served by our white-glove waiters. By that time our Concierge Manager would be ready to arrange excursions and explorations for his guests.
Excursion to floating village: Taking a bamboo sampan rowed by a local girl and visiting the floating villages of fishing folk that will provide you with a unique cultural insight of authentically warm and friendly people of the sea who have lived their whole lives aboard tiny bamboo boat.
Exploring by kayak: After a lesson with our expert on how to paddle safely, you will kayak amidst a maze of incredible rock formations rising majestically from jade-green water, every turn brings new surprise. Secret passages leading to hidden lagoons and magical sea caves with a unique ecosystem, getting close to sea creatures and coral reef.
Backing on the Santa Maria boat, a gourmet lunch will be served whilst the Cruiser keeps on its route through the Bay back to Ha Long City. Checking out after 11:00. 12:30 disembarking to end service. See you next time.
